New Results Requires New Directions
Welcome

New Directions Midwest Education Conference website, the newest source of educational excellence with professional development for educators. Our philosophy is simple, provide the best national presenters for the most current and effective educational experience. Our conferences are not about theory, they are about practical applications for achieving results.

What Great Leaders Do Differently
~ Dr. Todd Whitaker~
April 18, 2008

This is an opportunity for educational leaders, from superintendents and principals to curriculum coordinators and leader teachers, to learn how to motivate and inspire educators at all levels to achieve greatness in schools.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY WORKSHOP OR CONFERENCE
Let’s face it, we have all attended workshops that inspire but leave us without direction . . . sort of floating in the air, motivated but unguided. We have been to conferences that take a shotgun approach to professional development where we get bits and pieces and hope something sticks. And we certainly have had plenty of research theory that has not translated into practical application.

We created the Directions Conference to provide our regional educators with specific solutions and strategies that work. Our ultimate goal: improve student achievement. Our path to achieving this is through recognized national presenters who have answers and not theory. Dr. Whitaker represents the pinnacle of this belief. We guarantee that you will leave motivated and with very specific strategies that you can implement the next day to improve staff and student performance. This day of targeted training will be fast and furious, so come prepared to get to the “nitty-gritty” from the start.

. . .these ideas were simple, easy-to-use, common sense ideas that I wish I would have found earlier in my administrative career. The bottom line is that if you don’t have motivated teachers, you most likely don’t have a “good” school.’
